On April 21, 2020, the National Development and Reform Commission of China and the State Administration for Market Regulation jointly issued the "Catalogue of Products Subject to Energy Efficiency Labeling in the People's Republic of China (Fifteenth Batch)" and related implementation rules, which included permanent magnet synchronous motors for elevators for the first time. It is stipulated that products manufactured or imported after July 1, 2020, are required to apply energy efficiency labels.
At present, the main products in the elevator market are traction elevators with the traction machine as the main power source of the elevator. The traction machine drives the movement of the steel wire rope to make the car and the counterweight move and stop along the vertical track to realize the lifting and stopping of the elevator. Therefore, the technical performance of the elevator traction machine determines the safety and efficiency of the elevator operation.
